The Radix Endeavor is a multiplayer online game for STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) learning in high school.
Game Experience
Participants find themselves in an island with many unknown species of plants and animals as well as many mysterious places for discovery. The player joins the group called Curiosi to find answers to solve environmental and society problems. The goal is to improve the lives of the people on the island by searching for the cause and to change any factors that could lead to saving the island.

Benefits of an MMO
Massively Multiplayer Online Games allow for players’ avatars to work together with others to complete task-oriented goals and has the benefits of inquiry based learning as well as scientific ways of thinking. By exploring the virtual world and conducting “experiments” and ultimately collaborating with other players, players are challenged to solve problems using scientific reasoning. The social and contextual nature of the game motivate the players.
Assessment & Teacher Tools
Task-based assessments are embedded which will be used for tracking players’ strategies, progress, and potential misconceptions. Real time feedback and scaffolding for players will be displayed on the “Teacher Portal” for helping teachers monitor student progress. This allows for tailoring the lesson the student’s needs.
